Surfers
Paradise, on the Gold Coast Queensland Australia, is one the world
famous Australian beaches, up there with Bondi Beach in Sydney. Surfers
Paradise, as well as one of the most beautiful beaches in Australia, is
the entertainment centre of the Gold Coast with loads of restaurants,
bars, nightclubs and plenty of activities for the kids.
Surfers Paradise is most popular place to stay on the Gold Coast. Right in the centre is Cavill Avenue Mall which is a pedestrian only area which is lined with shopping centres, restaurants, fast food outlets and plenty of entertainment.
For the adrenaline junkies, head to Adrenline Park just a few minutes walk from the heart of Surfers Paradise. Located on the Cnr of Palm Ave and Gold Coast Boulevard, the park has a few heart stopping rides including the Slingshot, bungee jump and Vomatron. Open 10am - 10pm 7 days a week.
For the best view over Surfers Paradise and the Gold Coast head to the Q1 Building which is the tallest building on the Gold Coast. On the top floor is the SkyPoint Observation Deck on level 77 and 78 of the Q1 Building. Starting this summer 2011 is the Skypoint Climb with an external walk around the building.
The Wheel of Surfers Paradise is another great way to get views over the Gold Coast day or night. Open daily from 10am - 11pm it is located directly above the transit centre on the corner of Beach Rd & Remembrance Drive.
Entertainment Centre of Surfers Paradise
Orchid Avenue is the Entertainment Centre of Surfers Paradise. Orchid Ave is a short strip which is lined with restaurants, bars, night clubs and strip joints. With nightlife every night of the week.
